Hacienda Sonora is highly renowned in Costa Rica, located in the breathtaking Centrall Valley at the foot of the Poal Volcano. The coffee is grown on rich volcanic soils, and surround by a diverse exotic ecosystem. The farm runs on 100% renewable energy with a new Pelton Wheel turbine, just installed, powered by the natural stream running through the property. The Venecia varietal is a relatively new coffee strain, it is a dwarf type of Caturra. The varietal is distinct for its ability to be ripped very late in the harvest in high summer, when the sugar levels are at their highest. The honey processing further increases the fruitiness of this lovely sweet and clean coffee.
